1992 Maserati Biturbo 430
Maserati Biturbo Tyres
The Maserati Biturbo S, 430 Saloon, and Biturbo Spyder were popular luxury sports cars from the 1980s. They all featured twin-turbocharged V6 engines and offered impressive levels of performance. The Biturbo S was a sporty coupe, the 430 Saloon offered a four-door setup, and the Spyder was a stylish convertible by Zagato. These models fitted 205/55 YR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 tyres. The Biturbo Spyder fitted the 205/55 YR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 when on 14" wheels but also fitted 15" wheels. Biturbo Spyders on 15" wheels fitted 205/50 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 front tyres and 225/50 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 rear tyres, chosen for the P7's excellent grip, stability, and high-speed performance.

205/55 YR 14
The PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ P7 was introduced in 1974 as an ultra-low profile tyre, used on the Lancia Stratos in the 1974 world rally championship. 2 years later in 1976 Pirelli released the road-version, in response to the increasing power and speed of supercars in the 1970s.
The P7 marked a significant advancement in tyre technology, offering greatly improved stability and grip. The P7's design allowed for significant width increases while maintaining a low profile. Its construction featured advanced elements like a nylon zero-degree belt. Initially, the P7 had a V-speed rating (149 mph or higher), current productions of the 205/55 YR 14 P7 carry a higher Y-rating, suitable for speeds up to 186 mph.
Maserati Biturbo S

Pirelli has reintroduced the P7 for classic cars, using modern manufacturing techniques while preserving the original tread pattern. In a recent development, Pirelli has introduced the new 205/55 YR 14 size of the Cinturato P7, specifically catering to certain Maserati Biturbo models equipped with 14-inch wheels.
Other notable cars that adopted the P7 included the Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo, Lamborghini Urraco and Countach, and the De Tomaso Pantera. Porsche extensively tested and approved some of the P7 range, granting it their 'N' homologation for use on their classic performance vehicles. Ferrari also chose the P7 as original equipment for some 308 models, showcasing the P7's excellent reputation among the world's leading sports car brands.
