Mercedes W114/W115 1968–1976

1970 Mercedes Benz W114 250C

The Mercedes-Benz W114 and W115 were a series of front-engine, rear-drive sedans and coupés introduced in 1968, replacing the W110 models. They were manufactured until 1976, coinciding with the release of the W123.

The W114 models (230, 250, and 280) featured six-cylinder engines, while the W115 models (200, 220, 230, and 240) had four-cylinder engines.

Earlier W114 & W115 models were fitted with 175 R14 tyres. In this size we recommend the 175 HR 14 Michelin XAS.
The mid range models fitted either 175 R14 or 185 R14 tyres. The 185 HR 14 Michelin MXV-P is the ideal Mercedes W114 or W115 tyre.
Some of the higher performance variants such as the 280 and 280CE fitted 195/70 R14. The 195/70 VR 14 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 is the best option, however, the tyre is not currently being produced. For the time being, we would recommend fitting the 185 HR 14 Michelin MXV-P.
For those who enjoy the whitewall aesthetic, Michelin produces the 185 R 14 Michelin MXV Whitewall, allowing Mercedes owners to fit a high-quality period performance tyre while remaining fashionable.
The ideal innertube for 175 R14 tyres is the Michelin 14E innertube.
The correct innertube for 185 R14 and 195/70 R14 tyres is the Michelin 14F.
