- The Marcos 1800 GT (1964–1966), Marcos 1500 GT (1966–1967), Marcos 1650 GT (1967), Marcos 1600 GT (1967–1971), and Marcos 2 Litre GT (Ford V4, 1969–1971) were originally fitted with 165 R13 tyres.
- The recommended classic tyre for these early Marcos GT models is the 165 VR 13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36. The 165 HR 13 Michelin XAS is also worth considering, although its speed rating is lower.
- For a wider, lower-profile alternative to 165 R13 tyres, 185/70 R13 tyres can be fitted. In this size, Longstone recommends the 185/70 VR 13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36. The 185/70 R 13 Michelin XDX is also available.

Marcos 3 Litre GT, Essex V6, Volvo B30 & Triumph 2.5 (1969–1972) Tyres
- The Marcos 3 Litre GT (1969–1972) models, including Ford Essex V6 (1969–1971), Volvo B30 straight-six (1969–1972), and Triumph 2.5-litre (1970–1972) variants, were originally fitted with 175 R13 tyres. The recommended classic tyre in this size is the 6.40/7.00 SR 13 Michelin ZX. Although written using crossply-style sizing, this is a radial tyre and would be described as 175 R13 using modern radial expression.
Marcos GT Tyres – Second Generation / Component Cars (1981–1990)
- Second-generation Marcos GT 'component car' models, produced between 1981 and 1990, were typically fitted with 185/70 R13 tyres.
- The recommended classic tyre for these Marcos GT models is the 185/70 VR 13 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36. The 185/70 R 13 Michelin XDX is also available in this size.

Marcos GT Innertubes
- Marcos GT models were fitted with a variety of steel and alloy wheels over their production life. While most period tyres were tubeless-capable, many original wheels—particularly early cast alloys— were commonly used with innertubes. If in any doubt, fit a tube!
- Early Marcos GT models including Marcos 1500 GT, 1600 GT, 1650 GT, 1800 GT and 2 Litre GT that fitted 165 R13 tyres, require the Michelin 13D Innertube.
- Marcos 3 Litre GT models originally fitted with 175 R13 tyres, including Ford Essex V6, Volvo B30 and Triumph 2.5-litre variants, should fit the Michelin 13F.
- Later Marcos GT models fitted with 185/70 R13 tyres, including second-generation component-car models should also fit the Michelin 13F.
